You Don't Have To Call Me Ted Haggard Anymore
I keep expecting David Kuo to come out with a cover of an old David Allan Coe classic:
I got sick of that song in the early 80's when I worked in a bar that it on the juke box. It still gives me a headache, but you get the idea.
YOU NEVER EVEN CALLED ME BY MY NAME
(Steve Goodman)
David Allan Coe - 1975
WELL, IT WAS ALL THAT I COULD DO TO KEEP FROM CRYIN'
SOMETIMES IT SEEMED SO USELESS TO REMAIN
...
AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO CALL ME TED HAGGARD ANYMORE
EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE ON MY FIGHTIN' SIDE
...
BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO CALL ME NUTCASE, NUTCASE
YOU NEVER EVEN CALLED ME BY MY NAME
I got sick of that song in the early 80's when I worked in a bar that it on the juke box. It still gives me a headache, but you get the idea.

I first encountered David Allen Coe on the jukebox of Betz Brown's Abbey, and I've never tired of hearing it. I even sat through an interminable CMT show on drinking songs (most of them horrid) waiting to see Coe perform this one live. He's a piece of work on camera, sort of the C&W/Texas Outlaw answer to George Clinton.
